Rehman Malik Threatened Mansoor Ijaz to Prevent his Testimony
SYED ADEEB
(AdeebMedia.com) – In his following 4-page letter to Pakistan Attorney General Anwar ul Haq, dated 21 January 2012, Advocate Muhammad Akram Sheikh, an eminent counsel for Pakistani-American business executive Musawer Mansoor Ijaz, pointed out that PPP Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik made several threats against Ijaz to prevent his testimony before the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s (SCP) 4-judges (3 high courts Chief Justices and one D&S court judge) judicial inquiry Commission. Haq also deliberately committed contempt of court by failing to provide the Pakistan Army security to Mansoor Ijaz, the key witness in the Zardari-Haqqani treasonous memo case, as recently ordered by the SCP Commission. Therefore, Mansoor Ijaz could not testify at the Commission’s office in the Islamabad High Court on 24 January 2012 due to no Army security for his safety inside Pakistan.
