Seven Press Releases of Musawer Mansoor Ijaz
Rehman Malik Trying To Sabotage My Testimony
EDITOR’s NOTE: The following seven (7) news-media statements of Pakistani-American business leader Musawer Mansoor Ijaz, his over 80-page written testimony to the Supreme Court of Pakistan and documentary proofs as well as electronic evidences, published in the AdeebMedia.com website, prove that Mansoor Ijaz – a truthful, credible and honorable man – has exposed the truth about the infamous Zardari-Haqqani treasonous memo. Mr. Ijaz has done a great service to the Pakistani nation by advocating that the PPP Mafia’s corrupt, criminal and traitorous gangsters must be held accountable to the Pakistani citizens/voters, the judiciary and the press-media for their crimes, corruption and treason. Indeed, Mansoor Ijaz will continue to tell the whole truth to oppose and expose the fabricated lies of malicious liars. – Journalist SYED ADEEB – www.SyedAdeeb.net – Sunday, 22 January 2012 – Virginia, USA.

MMI Press Release 1
By MANSOOR IJAZ
(AdeebMedia.com) – [PPP] Interior Minister [Abdul] Rehman Malik has laid bare today the massive cover-up being orchestrated by the [PPP] government of president Asif Ali Zardari to prevent my testimonials next week in Islamabad in the matter of the Mullen Memorandum. Mr. Malik has asked the Parliamentary Committee on National Security to rubber-stamp his demand that my name be placed on Pakistan’s Exit Control List. This development comes just as I am finalizing my travel arrangements to come to Pakistan.
My security arrangements were a paramount concern in delivering the physical and electronic evidences safely into the hands of the [Pakistan Supreme Court] Commission’s honorable justices, and then appearing in person to deliver my verbal testimony so that a much needed spotlight on obtaining the truth that has long been demanded by the people of Pakistan could be fulfilled. The Commission and the Supreme Court were solely responsible for insuring that security and under Supreme Court orders, that task was entrusted to the armed forces of Pakistan to avoid exactly the type of devious and underhanded tricks Mr. Malik’s intentions today have exposed.
Mr. Malik demonstrates a malice of forethought toward me that is unacceptable. His repeated taunts and threats against me during the past several weeks, as he became President Zardari’s point man on assassinating my character and my family’s good name, are a direct result of his knowledge that I know everything about him as well. Much more than is in the public domain already. Need I remind you, Mr. Malik, that you and President Zardari were not even on speaking terms while the late Benazir Bhutto was alive?
And how is it that a man standing in contempt of the very Supreme Court, whose orders he refuses to respect or implement, is even allowed to sit in the post of Interior Minister?
If this is how the game is to be played, so be it. Mr. Malik, you are put on notice today that I have in my possession sufficient evidence of your direct involvement in matters that would be of material and direct investigative consequence to Interpol, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, and other investigative and judicial authorities around the world with respect to certain financial dealings you conducted, supervised and acted as legal attorney-in-fact for during the time preceding your appointment as Interior Minister. Your appointment as Interior Minister was a direct consequence of these dealings within the Zardari-Bhutto family.
While these matters had not previously been of any interest to me because they were simply another instance in a long line of corrupt and venal practices of the Zardari government, it is clear to me now that the truth you fear from me has led you and your “boss” [Asif Ali Zardari] to stop at no cost to prevent my arrival in Pakistan and to do or stop at nothing to impede my safe return when I do come. The people of Pakistan have a right to know that the cover-up being orchestrated by the Zardari government knows no limits to hide the facts I will bring to light in the coming days.
Mr. Malik miscalculated his brinkmanship by entangling himself with me. You want a war with me, Mr. Malik? You just got it. – Saturday, 21 January 2012 – London, UK.
MMI Press Release 2

(AdeebMedia.com) – Legal counsel [Zahid Hussain Bokhari] for Husain Haqqani, the embattled former [PPP] ambassador, made frivolous and abjectly absurd filings against one of Pakistan’s most decorated legal minds, my counsel Mr. [Muhammad] Akram Sheikh, on Friday. These filings have absolutely no merit and demonstrate that Mr. Haqqani has lost his ability to read and comprehend basic English as he sits in solitary confinement at Prime Minister’s House uselessly scheming and plotting his extraction from an event of his own design.
Mr. Haqqani has no conscience in attacking my counsel who with my consent made public certain threats to my life as security arrangements were being prepared for me to come to Pakistan and testify in front of the Judicial Commission. These threats were sent to the same e-mail address I used to communicate the original draft of the Memorandum in question which he [Husain Haqqani] had asked me to transmit to Adm. Mike Mullen in May [2011].
In his filing, Mr. Haqqani [Applicant] states: “…. that life threats had been made against Mansoor Ijaz by e-mail on email address used by Applicant (Press clippings are attached here with)… That such, fallacious and fabricated claims carry no weight, not based upon truth but based on mala-fide and trying to malign the Applicant… That neither the Applicant nor on his behalf sent such email to Mr. Mansoor Ijaz.”
Now compare these statements of Haqqani to the statement made by Mr. Sheikh in the press clippings Haqqani’s counsel referred to in their filing: “Mansoor has been receiving death threats from the same email address(es) from which he had been communicating with Husain Haqqani earlier in the year,” said Sheikh.
Mr. Sheikh never said Mr. Haqqani was responsible for the threats I received. He said I was RECEIVING the threats from the same address(es) I had been communicating with Haqqani earlier in the year. READ THE STATEMENT AGAIN, HUSAIN…. This latest episode in Haqqani’s drama shows how clearly adept he is at misinforming the public by manipulating words and creating fiction from non-existent reality. The people of Pakistan should take notice – his behavior patterns are the same as they were in May [2011] when he [Husain Haqqani] asked me to help him deliver the Memorandum.
Mr. Haqqani has orchestrated a media campaign against me since his resignation in November [2011] designed to introduce doubts and exploit the complexities and nuances of this case that were entirely designed by him with, according to him, authority from his “boss” [PPP illegal president/co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari]. In doing so, he has failed miserably to dent the fundamental facts and corroborative evidence that I will put on the record in front of the Commission that demonstrate his originating role, his higher authority for doing so and his efforts to cover his tracks once the Memorandum was public knowledge.
Mr. Haqqani has furthermore orchestrated a political campaign in Washington [through his wife Ms. Farahnaz Ispahani] to bolster his own credentials, bought and paid for by Pakistani taxpayer funds, that have only served to deepen suspicions about where his real loyalties lie. Having failed in any way to address the facts in front of the Commission, he [Husain Haqqani] and his lawyers now seek to attack my counsel as part of their overall strategy to deter and even alter the course of justice with stall tactics, intimidation schemes and political brinkmanship in the hopes that I will somehow be cowered down and not turn up to testify.
Dream on Mr. Haqqani. I am coming to Pakistan. And I am going to tell a truth which you will no longer be able to hide from. I will tell it with such clarity and vigor that you and your ‘brilliant’ legal team will find no space to run from it. I welcome your cross examination. I look forward to insuring the untruths, half-truths and whole lies that have been told thus far are clarified in front of the people of Pakistan so that truth and transparency become the enduring legacy for government that is of the people, for the people and by the people. – Saturday, 14 January 2012 – London, UK.

(AdeebMedia.com) – Press reports and media rumors that I may not be coming to Pakistan to offer my testimony before the Judicial Commission are simply wrong. Some important security-related concerns have arisen as the date of my testimony nears. Certain adjustments are being made that are not for public dissemination. Reports that the American government has put any pressure on me to not testify are false. To the contrary, I have received broad-based and bipartisan support from my fellow Americans [especially Journalist SYED ADEEB, the Chief Editor and President/CEO of America's influential Information Media Group (IMG)] for my willingness to speak truth to power and to put my factual recounting of events related to the Memorandum in question on the record before the Commission.
The security issues surrounding my arrival are material and will be managed in the best interests of my hosts, my family and myself. I look forward to enjoying the local food, seeing some old friends and putting the truth on the record once and for all so this episode in Pakistan’s history can be put behind us. – Thursday, 12 January 2012 – Zurich, Switzerland.
MMI Press Release 4
By MANSOOR IJAZ
(AdeebMedia.com) – I welcome the announcement today by Pakistan’s Supreme Court, as issued during the past hour by Hon. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, that an independent inquiry Commission has been formed to investigate the circumstances and factual evidence in the Memorandum affair. I reiterate my willingness to cooperate with any high-level, independent and credible inquiry in this matter and reiterate my commitment to full and transparent cooperation with the three high court [chief] justices that have today been announced to lead the inquiry Commission.
The authority embedded in the Commission and the important work it must carry out during the next four weeks requires a measure of restraint and responsibility on all parties involved in this affair. But most importantly, it requires the media – in Pakistan and elsewhere – to return to the standards of journalism that they so espouse in covering events of such importance.
My legal advisers have taken notice in recent weeks of the increasing vitriol and use of abusive language against my person, my businesses and my family members, and the threats that we are now sustaining continuously. The matters involved in the Memorandum case are of such importance and seriousness to the transparency of governance in Pakistani society, and to the very core of the principles by which your elected political leaders must carry out their fiduciary responsibilities to the people of Pakistan, that until recently that character assassination has no place in these proceedings.
I had largely ignored the slander campaign against me until now because the facts I have, the evidence I hold and the truth I know cannot be altered no matter what Pakistan’s press corps, Amb. Haqqani’s legal advisers and certain political elements of your country may try and say to the contrary. Their gimmicks and schemes to hide the truth in these important proceedings have failed miserably.
The Supreme Court decision today is vindication enough that the truth I have spoken and conveyed to the senior leaders of your country is real and requires thorough investigation. And so while this investigation now proceeds, I ask the media to respect the importance of the inquiry Commission’s work and to refrain from gratuitous slander and malicious character assassination against me or anyone else who is party to these proceedings. I personally will not tolerate further attacks and have asked my lawyers to serve legal notice on one news organization already, and will take serious legal action against any individual, news organization – whether print or television – or editorial staff that sanctions such indignant use of their opinion pages or television commentaries by hiding under the words of others to malign me.
Justice is being served. It should be allowed to take its course. – Friday, 30 December 2012 – Zurich, Switzerland.
MMI Press Release 5
By MANSOOR IJAZ
(AdeebMedia.com) – The decision of Pakistan’s Supreme Court today [1 December 2011] to admit petitions filed in reference to the issue of the Memorandum demonstrates that democracy is indeed alive and well in Pakistan. The pillars of a free society – a robust judiciary, a parliamentary body that reflects the will of its people, an executive branch that protects the interests of a nation, and a free and vibrant press – fundamentally require that the laws of the land are respected and abided by.
Today, the Supreme Court showed independence from the political brinkmanship of Pakistan’s ruling party [PPPP] in investigating malfeasance within its own ranks. I reiterate that I stand ready with all the evidence in my possession to assist the Special Investigator appointed by the Supreme Court in determining the truth and holding the guilty parties responsible for their wrongful behavior. – Thursday, 1 December 2011 – Zurich, Switzerland.

(AdeebMedia.com) – I respect the decision of the [PPP] prime minister [Yusuf Raza Gilani] to accept the resignation of Husain Haqqani. I welcome the prime minister’s announcement of a high-level independent and credible inquiry, and reiterate my commitment to full and transparent cooperation with the competent authorities of the Pakistani government in ascertaining the truth of these circumstances.
I was asked in late October [2011] to assist the government’s security agencies in determining the veracity of evidence in my possession. I believe their preliminary findings played an important role in today’s events. As the government proceeds in its inquiry, I stand ready to assist in any manner necessary. I wish Haqqani and his family well. – 22 November 2011 – London, UK.

(AdeebMedia.com) – I welcome the announcement today by Pakistan’s political leaders to hold an inquiry into the range of issues surrounding the Memorandum that was conceived by Amb. Husain Haqqani and transmitted at his request by me to [former US Navy] Admiral Mike Mullen, then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, through a trusted colleague [US Marine Corps ex-General James Logan Jones, former US National Security Advisor] on May 10, 2011.
It is time for Pakistan’s people to learn the whole truth about the leaders they have chosen. Should the formal inquiry ask me to appear and give evidence, I am prepared to travel to Pakistan and in an appropriately secured environment give the evidence in my possession, allow forensic examination of my records and insure that the truth, which I hold, is aired in the fullest manner possible.
I am prepared to face Amb. Haqqani, to debate him, to challenge him on his recollection of the facts and to make absolutely sure that neither he nor his superiors are able to distort a truth that was of their own conception. The ambassador has served his country ably and should be proud of his record in helping American lawmakers and officials understand one of the world’s most complex political, military and religious environments. But that does not give him
licence to distort the truth in a matter as grave as this. Truth and transparency are the bane of civilised societies. Amb. Haqqani has been a champion of that democracy, and it is now time for the transparency to which he has subscribed in public so often to demonstrate itself – the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.” – 18 November 2011 – London, UK.
